About Dining With Us
Online since November 4th 2002, Dining With Us is the only web advertising company to offer detailed 3D tours of its clients’ restaurants. We are also proud to be the only website to display exceptionally beautiful photographs of our clients’ establishments, detailing every quality feature that will distinguish each restaurant individuality. Our website presents Barbadian restaurants to the global market in an exquisite manner, allowing tourists from the world over as well as our very own local and regional dinners to experience the ambience of our customers’ restaurants, and hence increase their desire to dine with them. In April 2005, our website made a significant jump on many search engines including; Goggle, MSN, Yahoo and several other well known search engines, of which Dining With Us was listed in the top 5 options for an internet surfer. The Dining With Us website is very customer friendly; it enables a potential customer to make informed decisions about menus, price ranges and locations as well as booking reservations. Our detailed tours have subsequently had a direct impact on a guests choosing of exactly where they wish to sit and with what view before their first visit to one of the restaurants featured on our website.
About a Leader Mr. Hayden Browne is the entrepreneur behind Dining With US, he gained his secondary education at the Ellerslie Secondary School and at the age of seventeen entered the hospitality industry. Here he was trained in many sub-trades and can now fill many hats within the hospitality industry. Mr. Browne’s drive to become a business owner as well as his customer service disposition allowed him to identify and fulfil the need for a service which is offered today by Dining With Us. As a young bartender Hayden noticed the effects of a lack of information available to potential customers through traditional means of advertising for restaurants. He also noticed that the price of advertising the qualities of a restaurant which may be difficult to express was very expensive to any restaurant owner. He therefore set himself on a mission to provide this service at a quality comparable to none, and at a cost from which the business owner could see returns in the near future. This mission along with Hayden’s craze for computer technology led him to web designing from which Dining With Us was born. The rush to produce a fashionable websites of the time was not on Mr. Browne’s agenda; instead he decided to bring a concept which was truly unique to the market. With little to no formal experience in the field, little guidance, and zero credibility Mr. Browne created a website which gave potential customers a guided tour of the fine restaurants of Barbados, where they could plan to detail and even decide on the view they wished to enjoy while dining.

When I started working on this project, I envisioned the way things are going to be and thought, five years from now how many people are going to take a book off the shelf and look at listings of where they want to go out? They’re going to go on the web or they’re cell phones and they are going to find content there. What’s the most compelling way to present content in these mediums? I think videos or virtual tours are probably the best way in doing that.
There is a lot of other information I want to gather about a restaurant and that information can support the video. When I look into the future I see videos or virtual tours being probably the number one way people will make a decision about where to spend money when they go out.
There is a large interest in actually being there and seeing the place before one makes a decision in where they spend they’re money. If someone is into food and would like to find out about restaurants, it's really helpful for them to find out about the chef, what their philosophy is on various dishes and actually see the restaurant. In addition, they may see what the atmosphere is like, what the people are wearing, and what kind of food they're offering etc… I want to be able to convey that quickly in a video or virtual tour where one would normally have to spend a lot more time in a written review.
