Having been selected to the
highly competitive Barbados Culinary team Charmaine participated in,

the team was successful in achieving Silver and two individual
silver medals, another opportunity arose and Charmaine also joined
the 2004 team which travelled to Puerto Rico, with hard work and
determination through out the team they were at this time able to
bring a gold medal home. Although Charmaine was unable to take
the trip with the team for 2005 as she was continuing her studies at

opportunity to be selected to the Barbados Team, who participated in
the prestigious tournament held in Miami in June 2006 where yet
again the team brought home a silver medal. Charmaines’ development over
the years has fast earned her a reputation in this highly
competitive profession as she aspires to further develop not only
herself, but to develop the skills and knowledge of her team at
Josef’s. Her greatest wish would be to own and operate a
restaurant, which she promises, to be as famous as any in the
Caribbean, where she may have the opportunity to prepare her
favourite dish Poached Snapper which at present is featured on
Josef’s menu. Ms. Maynard’s hobbies are: Travelling, meeting people and listening
